Hi - do you want me to post my fabulous lemond curd ice cream recipie?

I think it goes without saying that we - the readers, fans and casual frequenters of your exquisite website - demand the above mentioned recipe! :-)

Oh, this is lovely! Also, a yes to the lemon curd ice cream recipe.

To resolve any confusion - the ice cream recipe’s m’s (of http://www.mint-tea.blogspot.com) not mine. Hopefully she’ll post it for us all :-)

Val & Carola’s Lemon Curd Ice Cream

Take a pot of lemon curd (lime or orange would work just as well)

Add one carton of creme frache and one carton of double cream.

    mix

If by any ghastly chance you are using a ‘COMMERCIAL’ lemond curd bought from a supermarket instead of lovingly handmade by grannie - then take a lemon and grate the zest and add that to the mixture.

    Freeze.

About every 30-40 mins remove from freezer and mix. Makes a very rich and very lemony ice cream.

Very easy and impressive at dinner parties.

I tend to go overboard and have several puddings of which the ice cream is just one option.

Thanks Michael, this sounds fantastic - I believe we have a jar of home-made curd - so I know what I’ll be doing this weekend :-) Yum Yum

  7. Laura Hegarty Says:

Even better if you rough crush meringue nests into the mixture before freezing!
