…in front of the TV after a day throwing and burning more rubbish from the studio. I’m amazed just how much there is. It still looks a mess out there. I found a pile of papers I probably haven’t looked at for a year, haven’t thought about in all that time, probably wouldn’t miss if someone else thrown them out but still could bring myself to burn them. So many magazines too. I found some that were still in their postage bags. I must have sent a couple of hundred pounds worth to the recycling bin and filed a similar amount in case I ever get around to reading them (I won’t). I really am going to have to start to think before I buy more. All this stuff is exhausting. Getting rid of it is more so. I dream of a large white empty space with a few pens and plenty of paper (and my Apple Mac of course).
In the meantime it’s more trash TV. My sofa is very comfortable.

YOUR FRIEND DAVE – IN A CLUTTER…

I found your blog from my friend Adiago’s blog, you had posted, so I periodically go and check out the blogs of the people who write on hers, I’m just visit about.
I read about your clearing out the clutter,,, and I have started this journey, because I want to move from Seattle to Vegas,,,and I only have an apartment, but the STUFF,,, as I started last summer with a yard sale to try and sell some of this stuff,, all I could think of while I was boxing , pricing and laying out for the sale was,, WHAT WAS I THINKING??? LOL! I spent all this money on this STUFF,, its nice STUFF,, but still STUFF,, and now that I don’t have much money,, I am REALLY thinking ,,, I MUST have been slightly emotionally unbalanced to buy all this stuff. And as I methodically give away, gift ot my friends, box to yard sale again THIS summer, and box for the move I am liking this new energy in my space of clear and open energy with the place for new energy, THOUGH it will definitely not be filled with STUFF this time. It is a challenge for artistic people because there is the everending thought that “I might need this for my art.” Enjoy your white, clear and open space, we can’t have the new without a place for it!
