in an attempt…

Drawing of New Espresso Maker…to regain something of my relaxed routine of a few months ago I’ve bought a couple of new toys.  My lovely shiny espresso maker helps me take the mornings more slowly again.  I rinse it out, put water in the bottom, put coffee inside, screw it together and put it on the stove.  While it percolates there is time to empty Copenhagen II or just sit and stare.

I’ve been waking up very early recently and then absolutely having to have a nap in the early afternoon.  I do think it’s down to the sertraline.    It’s been nearly eight weeks since I started taking it.  I do feel a lot more rested, than I have in while - I’m sure I’m sleeping more deeply which has to be a good thing for someone who has been tired for a decade and a half.  I suppose I feel like I’m having one of my up times just now - nothing more than that at the moment but I’m keeping my fingers crossed.  I see  my doctor on Friday so can have a bit of a chat to him about it.

More on the new toys soon…

And then there’s Michael Nobbs site, a writer and artist who was diagnosed with a chronic disease, which caused his life to shrink to the very small world of life home and studio. Yet, within those four walls, and sometimes not being able to even get off the couch, he draws the small objects and records the tiny happenings and creates a view into a most interesting life.

What a wonderful blog. I think we worked through Artists Way together a few years back. Your journey is wonderful and inspiring to me. I am looking forward to seeing more. Knowing our limits is the hardest lesson, having no boundries is the dream. Be well and prosperous, warm wishes from frederick
