quiet…
…day at home.
I had planned a walk but haven’t got further than the studio all day and now the light is on the way out. Still a slow day won’t hurt. I seem to have been out in the world a fair bit recently and being here in my own company is surprisingly refreshing.
My routine has changed a lot over the last couple of months. I wonder if it is starting to pendulum back a little. A bit more sitting quietly might be called for again. A haven’t sat in my reading chair in weeks. Time too to get back on with The Beany. Issue #2 is in large part empty pages waiting to be filled. I have a lot of what I’m going to fill them with, but so much has happened in the last few weeks that I’ve felt a large need to digest it a bit before I send it out to the world. Maybe I’m ready now.
I had coffee with a friend last week who is flying away for a sabbatical in the frozen middle of America. I rather envy her the change. New places, new sights, new people. She’s invited me to visit - I think I might (when the thaw has arrived).

And if that “frozen middle” is anywhere near Montana, we would welcome you here, too.

A reading chair! What a great idea. Sit, stay snug, read - and keep in touch.
