get well soon!
i'm currently suffering from an allegy to something or other and cant get the rash to go. It just moves around my body swelling up different bits :/
I'm living on piriton and they make me completely spaced out and mad.
I'm thinking its something i'm eating. Which means i'll have to go through the cutting out game for the first time soon.
Damnit.

Me again. Hey Michael, I was just reviewing your 100 things about me. This one:

>>>59. I find I am better if I eat less sugar and avoid wheat.

Wheat has gluten in it doesn't it? Have you ever heard of Celiac disease? If you are having a lot of trouble with food..I wonder if you could have Celiac disease which would mean any products you eat containing gluten you'd get very sick. And even lose weight cause you can't digest them. Its been in the news more around here lately as its a littler known disease but supposedly very common. Just a thought.

Hi Michael! Thanks for your email back. I just know The Beany is gonna be fantastic. I don't have any health advice for you but wanted to say that I'm hoping for you to feel much better soon. And for you to find that good energy place you can hold on to that you are desiring. That we all desire and no, it isn't too much to ask for if you ask me. I'm keeping the faith you'll reach that place and be able to hang onto it.

In the meantime, just be kind to yourself. Rest as much as you need to. Hugs!

Funny cos I'm having trouble with the old digestion to at the moment. Are the planets conspiring to make PWME feel queasy ?

One thing that helps me is to take milk thistle (helps with liver) and drink loads of water ---I mean LOADS of water --2 litres in an evening. You pee a lot but thats the idea ---- to flush out some of the toxins. even the porridge may be a prob if its with milk. Try soya milk with rice flakes --nearly the same but less 'toxic'

you could try it -- might help

maybe we should all hold virtual hands in a hippy circle and see if we can think oursleves back to digestive health

Perhaps not whilst your stomach is so out of whack - but have you considered a juicer? You can make some lovely combos and get yourself vitamins and minerals (OK - without the fibre but if you're lacking an appetite then you work with what you've got). One of my colleagues at work (allergy central) swears by hers - even if she doesn't feel like cooking she can get her juicebook out and whizz something good up. Just watch out for some of the more lurid juice claims - this one (below) seems pretty well balanced

http://www.bupa.co.uk/health_information/html/healthy_living/general/juicing/

Michael, Good news is that I have recently come across a lady of 58 who had M.E. for 11 years, and was bed-bound, and now has been well for over 12 years. This has cheered me up no end, and I am trying some of her superfood recipes at the moment, including a fantastic homemade wheatfree crispbread. I've just been into St. Ives to stock up on wholefoods, seeds and sprouters, including millet flakes, which I used to eat as an alternative to porridge, when I was severely allergic to everything except millet, pears, avocadoes and water [when I first got ill]. I had to give up a lot of the good stuff [I was vegan] due to the allergies I developed [anaphylaxis is not nice], and have been disappointed to have to manage without them, but hearing from this lady has given me the bravery to try again. I too am feeling very sick pretty much all the time, and have trouble getting most food to stay down, but figure that to revert to superfoods such as millet and alfalfa would help counteract this. When you're feeling better, ask me for some recipes, and I'll let you know how I get on.
