back home…

Keys…from a very hot trip in the north of Wales.

I’ve lived in Wales for fourteen years now and really haven’t explored very far.  I suddenly feel as though I’ve been flexing my explorer’s muscle and would like to do more.  My mother and I got into quite a good routine - out and about in the mornings, back to the hotel in the afternoon for a nap and a cup of tea, then a bit of a gentle stroll before cocktail hour and dinner.  Now, that’s how exploring should be done.  In comfort…

It’s good to know I can manage a bit of out-and-about traveling. I don’t seem too much worse for wear now I’m home.  I did spend yesterday mostly in bed, reading and chewing over the last few days, but today I feel reasonably bright-eyed and bushy tailed.  Perhaps there can be more exploring soon.

Now, where’s my atlas…

Welcome home Michael. If your Atlas page turns to the USA you are always welcome here at the Romain Domain in Texas. (Little too hot in the summr though.) Bring a pencil for a quick draw outside a saloon. - Trev

Glad you had a great break, I was wondering where you would go, and couldn’t picture you building sandcastles on the beach at Rhyl [excpt perhaps teapot shaped ones?], but am pleasantly surprised, that like me, you are learning the art of exploring what’s on your own doorstep.

There’s always Cornwall, when you get really adventurous, but then, like me, you might just want to stay!

PS: hope that we’re going to see some cool drawings from your travels - this trip and those that are to come.

Glad you enjoyed your break - sounded very civilised indeed and after all, relaxing is what a good break should be.

North Wales has the lot really in terms of exploring/inspiration - some nice bits of coast, some fabulous mountains, castles and awesome scenery especially around Llanberis Pass and Bala http://www.dacha.freeuk.com/photo/0z04-0.htm Happy memories of hooning about on the bike there :)
