In my work I do an exercise with people where they describe their personal values and then I ask them to write down everything they've done in the past week. You'd be amazed how many people will list a value and then find they've done NOTHING to support it. It's a real eye opener. I think it's hard to take time for yourself and say that art is something that you NEED to do, rather than it just being something you'd like to do when you get the chance. I haven't done as much drawing this summer as planned, but did do a little, probably more than I would have done if I hadn't planned. I do have a few ocean photos I want to work from.
