safely home…
November 9th, 2005
…from sunny Barcelona. It was rather an intense trip, seeing and doing lots. I sampled lots of the city’s smart black and yellow taxis, which did give me a good idea of the geography of the place. Getting back to my corner of mid-Wales, and its rather dull white taxis is a bit of a come-down - not helped by the sudden onslaught of a stomach bug, which has left me feeling all rather needy and pathetic. Definitely time to pull myself back together…

Get yourself some of those little probiotic drinks - sorts out all manner of bugs and nasties.

Dear Michael,
Glad to see you had a good time in Barcelona…somewhere I’ve always wanted to go. Hope the break hasn’t tired you too much as its a while since you’ve added to the blog. However, looking at The Drawing Club’s latest update I can see that you haven’t given up drinking tea and good to see that whilst in Spain you had time to take advantage of their wonderful hairdressing skills and pop in to a salon for a new perm, shampoo and set. Did you pop in for a quick comb out before boarding the plane home too?
Oh and BTW whereever did you manage to get that new copy of Picture Post? I hear they’re like gold dust amongst the jet set… I always find that a browse thru that tome goes so well with a nice cup of darjeeling and a hobnob !
