finally i’m…

Beanyp3

…putting together Beany #3.  My plan was to produce at least three issues of The Beany in twelve months.  I’m going to have to get a move on if I’m going to do that.  More likely I’m going to have to accept (again) that I’ve expected too much of myself.  Not, a huge amount too much, I am learning, but a bit.  I’m determined to be kind to myself and not think too badly of missing my deadline.  When I first thought up The Beany the whole point was to create something sustainable.  In large part I have, it just needs a little tweaking - which I suppose is what learning is all about.

The mistake I’ve made (and it’s not a new one) is to take on too many other things, not be content with what I’m doing, not let what is manageable be enough.  Now it’s winter, it’s time to prune back a bit on other commitments, make some space for what’s important and just get on with them.  Today I’ve moved my iMac in from my studio behind the house (where it is just too cold for me to want to go) and made a space for it in my bedroom.  This can be my winter working space.  I shall draw, scan and blog from here.  And I shall finish Beany #3

Go bro! Why not get cosy indoors this winter, with an iMac for company - I see a great Beany #3 coming…

PS: In moving house earlier this year, I’ve lost track of my Beany #1. Do you still have copies left? Hope so. Let me know.

    Cheers,
    Blue

Michael do you still have snow? Its just on the far hills now. But my heating is on most of the day and I’ve unearthed my pink fur hotwater bottle.

Been rooting around my old seachest, and wehey! Found Beany #1, so cancel that desperate request Michael. Looking forward to adding #3 to my collection. Sounds like a cosy production suite you’ve got going there - I can almost smell the hot chocolate steaming away next to your iMac!
