bad drawing day…
January 17th, 2006

Once upon a time, when I had hair, I often had bad hair days. These days that just isn’t a problem. Instead I have plenty of bad drawing days. I know what the problem is. I’m out of practice. If I let a day or two go by without picking up a pen then it’s almost as if I’ve never drawn before.
Perhaps if I taken up drawing when I still had hair this wouldn’t be a problem. Perhaps then I’d have enough skill and confidence to be able to have a few days without getting my fingers inky, and still be able to make a drawing that at least half looked like I’d intended. The horrid truth is my hair had pretty much scarpered before I ever discovered I loved to try and draw and I have A LOT of catching up to do.
I don’t think I’ve tried to draw anything for a week. Life has just got in the way. It’s time to rectify that…

Bad drawing is better than no drawing.
Slap your inner critic and go do some blind contours - get some fun back

Just think of that little girl under the dining table–she never stops drawing. Heck, she even colored in that carpet nicely.

To draw at all is enough, the rest is a bonus. Glad to see you back in action.

Never too late to rectify….
As a matter of fact, i need to do the same. Lately, though, i have been writing a lot more and creating music like a madman too…It’s always something and never enough time!@
