I’ve no idea what this says…

…but it’s still lovely to see my name in print!
The article above was sent to me from South Africa and refers to a wonderful project I was involved in last year. Groceries: 56 Stories Oor Huishopudelike Produkte is a book by Harry Kalmer, illustrated with some wonderful drawings by some of my favourite artists - I feel very honoured to be in such illustrious company.
I had a couple of drawings in the book including this one.

hi Michael
What a strange feeling it was for me to see my native language on EDM! If I could in short translate for you what the article says: It starts off by saying that SA is wild and awful, but it isn’t actually as bad as it seems to the world out there. That is the main impression the author wants to leave to the readers with this new release of short stories; Groceries: 56 Stories Oor Huishoudelike Produkte; the author of course being Harry Kalmer. It will be available on the shelves next week. All the stories are accompanied by illustrations of artists all over the world. While at the “Aardklop-arts festival”, he rediscovered the “wonder of the 3-minute-song” and was thus inspired to take on this project of short stories. He then ends to say he also got inspiration from blogs “like that of Michael Nobbs”..
So, congratulations, what an honor to inspire someone on the other end of the world to create something.
Take care

Oh, and I forgot to say what the collection of short stories is about…..”Groceries - 56 stories on household products”.
