The more it goes, tiddly pom

February 8th, 2007

Me in the snow

The more it goes, tiddly pom
The more it goes, tiddly pom
On snowing.

And nobody knows, tiddly pom
How cold my toes, tiddly pom
How cold my toes, tiddly pom
Are growing.

The House at Pooh Corner, A A Milne

Actually my toes (tiddly pom) are perfectly warm and snug. It is snowing though (a lot). I’ve lit a fire, roasted a chicken and have just put a lemon sauce pudding in the oven. All is obviously well with the world.

Glad you are feeling cosy, little bear. There’s hardly any snow here, even though it is ‘oop north’ - which is a great disappointment.

lol…. funny to read the poem. The weather here in Germany has been crazy this winters. First there wasn´t any winter, suddenly it became way too warm…. it was almost spring and the plants were sprouting. and suddenly the winter came real hard with more than a meter snow and then back again to spring followed by tornados (which are really uncommen here) and the news are talking of the winter returning now again. strange, strange weather!

I love this blog entry. I hope you’re still enjoying the snow, and that you lemon sauce pudding was delicious!

    Hi Michael,

How about a drawing of the lemon sauce pie? I was looking for your recipe for cheese scones but I can’t find it since you re-organised your site. I had a link to it in my blog but it doesn’t work now and I have a craving for cheese scones! Why not do a little The Beany sized book of illustrated recipes? All the best from grey and dismal Liverpool (snow all gone here now).
