More Snow (and a correction)
February 9th, 2007It finally stopped snowing, but only just. I’ve had another day at home (the lane to the road is too deeply covered with snow to drive down) mostly staring out of the window at the huge flakes of snow floating past.
Moved by yesterday’s post I reached down my copy of The House at Pooh Corner and was mortified to realise that I can’t spell tiddely. The marvellous Pooh Bear hum I posted should have read;
The more it snows
(Tiddely pom),
The more it goes
(Tiddely pom),
The more it goes
(Tiddely pom),
On Snowing.
And nobody knows
(Tiddely pom),
How cold my toes
(Tiddely pom),
How cold my toes
(Tiddely pom),
Are growing.
A A Milne, The House of Pooh Corner.
That feels better.

Hi Michael,
I’ve been out of touch (make that waaaay out of touch with the Everyday Matters group lately, but I got your update and thought I would reply. I am recuperating from breast cancer surgery (EEK! horrible word!!), but doing nicely at the moment - more testing to come. But I so enjoyed your Winnie the Pooh entry correction. I shall from now on know exactly how to spell “tiddely pom” and it has inspired me to go search out my copy, so I’ll spend a pleasant hour or so reminiscing, although without the snow.
