end of the week…

too tired to move

Sometimes, it seems, I still have no choice but to just sit and stare. On Friday this week I’d planned to head home early for a rest. I was going to sit in bed, listen to the radio and drink tea. Instead I found myself sitting on a sofa in Aberystwyth Arts Centre with no energy to move. So I just sat. It wasn’t such a bad thing to do. I watched people. Had tea with a couple of passing friends. Wrote a little in my sketchbook (mostly about being too tired to move). Ate a slice of cake. In a couple of hours I felt quite refreshed. I must do that again sometime soon.

Sounds like you need to take things a bit more easy.

Many thanks for the Beany, still only up to your Snowdon trip. Meant to let you know it arrived safely sooner, but my father’s in hospital and Mum is beside herself so life’s been rather complicated here.

Thanks for the Cheese Muffins link too - John’s just making some for breakfast right now. :-) Yum yum, cheesey goodness.

yes just sitting still is all you can do sometimes and no harm in that!

I sat on a beach groin yesterday and just stared at the view and the waves crashing on the shore for about 20 mins and ate some mint chocolate… divine…

never feel bad about sitting still

Michael, loved this post. I love have a couple of hours just like this one… and I too have felt too tired to move, in a happy way like this!

Oh, Micheal! You make me so jelaous! Not for the being tied bit, with which I sympathise and empathise but for the opportunity to just sit and think. I suspect that by the time I get the time to enjoy myslef in such a way, I will be far to old to enjoy the experience.
