new toy - an internet radio
I felt the need for a new cheering toy last week, and I think I chose well. My new internet radio tunes in via the net to over 5000 radio stations worldwide, and better still, makes me sit on my bed with a cup of tea while I listen to it.
I need reasons to make myself sit still at the moment. Ideas are bubbling up as the spring energy hits, and I seem to have an increasing number of commitments and pulls on my time and (limited) energy. I’m trying to remember the need to rest and also to channel my energy into what I think is important rather than what fits other people’s agendas. It’s not easy and it something I need to keep reminding myself. Listening to the radio is a bit like hitting the pause button, it gives me time to collect my thoughts and remarshal my good intensions. I’m doing okay.
Here my radio is playing my first attempt at a podcast (I keep meaning to make another one). More usually I’m listening to something from BBC Radio 4. With so many stations to choose from I do tend to pick the familar and comforting. I would like to broaden my audio horizons though, so if any of you out there have favourite stations do let me know…

Michael Radio 7 Can be good (though not keep on sci fi) but enjoy the comedy. I’m also a fan of late Junction and nightwaves on radio 3

Fabulous! I’d never get off my keister. Well, you know, I’m partial to the wireless. Any discoveries?

I enjoyed listening to your podcast. Your drawings are quite charming and the photo collages are unique…. Take care! ~Sharon
