baking a cake…
I’m sure baking is a very grounding experience, and I certain feel like I need to be grounded at the moment, but the truth is, right now, eating chocolate cake, rather than cooking it is what I am craving.
Christmas has been an emotional time, the first since my mother died, so I suppose that isn’t surprising, now I find I’m keen to get back into the mundanity of the day to day again. I’m determined that 2009 is going to be a time to put my life into a shape I what (need) it to be; a regular routine, “showing up at the page” as they say in all the encouraging creativity literature, which I hope can turn into a regular income. There are one or two more personal things I want to finally get right too, and, of course, I want to make plenty of time for cake…
