The marvellous Danny Gregory has had a sign hanging on the front page of his website since the end of last year. It says simply “Gone Drawing.” I like to imagine he is happily off somewhere with his sketchbook, and quite understand that after five years of inspirational blogging that he might well need a break, but I do miss his voice. I have a little dream that we might get to meet up one day in New York for a little cafe sketching. If we do I might well order coffee and muffins.

I started my day with a look round Danny’s site for today’s micro-podcast. There is so much there even when it’s not being updated; I wonder if I found more because I dug deeper in a way that I wouldn’t have if he was writing regular new posts. It was almost like meeting up for a chat with him (and I still had muffin and coffee to enjoy).
