The Last 10 Boxes

A started a new project yesterday. It’s one I’ve been thinking about for a while but haven’t felt ready to start until now. The Last 10 Boxes is to be a visual chronicle of the unpacking of the last boxes of things brought here from my mother’s house after she died.

The boxes are full of the sort of things that I have little need (or room) for but that I just haven’t been ready to let go of. So, as a way of moving on (and making some space) I’m going to draw each item before I either sell, recycle, give or throw it away (a percentage of anything I sell is going to go to Macmillan Cancer Support, the rest towards my ongoing studio decoration and restocking). It feels good to have started.

In other news, my micro-podcasting experiment continued this morning.

Listen!

If you missed it, yesterday’s introductory micro-podcast can be found here.
