Two week tea drinking holiday…

This post was written by Michael Nobbs. Follow me on Twitter.

I’m declaring a tea drinking holiday!

I think one of the hardest things about working for oneself is stopping, really stopping. It’s something I find particularly difficult. I’m good at going slowly, taking things a step at a time, and taking my time with those steps, but stopping, declaring a holiday, that’s a different matter. I can’t actually remember the last time apart from when forced to stop by illness that I actually did call a halt. So today I’m doing just that. I’ve got a lovely box of tea bags, enough I hope to keep me happy for a fortnight, and no real plans. Maybe I’ll tidy up around my studio, sit and read, swim in the sea, eat cake or maybe take a trip to the Big City. Perhaps I’ll just get up late and go for a walk. I’m excited at the simple possibilities.

I’ll be back on Tuesday 1st September to let you know what I’ve been up to. Until then, happy drawing. Enjoy the last two weeks of August. I’m going to.

PS any orders for The Beany and Start to Draw Your Life will be dispatched as soon as possible after 1st September.
