Happy New Year (and a quick podcast round-up)

This post was written by Michael Nobbs. Follow him on Twitter (and now Facebook too).

It’s snowing! I’ve just popped briefly out to my studio, before it gets completely buried, to wish everyone a Happy New Year (or Blwyddyn Newydd Dda as they say in these parts). I’m trying very hard to get back into a work routine after the holidays.

I’m feeling very excited about 2010, lots of plans and ideas bubbling. The new issue of my illustrated journal The Beany is due out at the end of the month and I have two other books in the the pipeline. If you follow my ramblings here and elsewhere you’ll probably know that the last couple of years haven’t been the cheeriest for me, so it’s lovely to be feeling excited and motivated (well sort of motivated; right now I’m far keener on sitting in front of my fire watching the snow fall than actually doing any work!). I have good feelings about this coming year (and decade for that matter!).

Right, I can smell my coffee brewing, so I’m going to see if I can find just one more slice of Christmas cake and nice spot in front of the fire to eat it.

(There’ll be more Beany news very soon. In the meantime the Christmas offer on back issues is still available, so if you haven’t already got your copies now is a good time).
