Start to Draw Your Life is now available as a free eBook to download

Start to Draw Your Life eBookIf you’re a regular reader here you’ll probably remember that last year I released a couple of little booklets, Start to Draw Your Life and 75 Ways to Draw More as a sort of DIY publishing experiment. Both were downloadable via Flickr to print out and make at home. They proved very popular with over 30,000 views between them to date.

Today I’m releasing an updated version of both books as a combined free eBook to download. I’m hoping the eBook will encourage a whole bunch of new people to pick up a pen and start to draw their lives. I hope it will encourage you.

Drawing has had a huge impact on my life. When I was first diagnosed with ME/CFS back in the late 1990s it was learning to draw (very slowly!) that gave my life a new shape and purpose. Drawing taught me to slow down, really look at what was around me and, perhaps most importantly, to find joy in the simple everyday things in my life. It has led me on an exciting journey over the last decade to where I am now; working in a sustainable ways as a full-time artist and blogger (and tea drinker!).

This eBook is for anyone who’d like a little encouragement to start to draw, or to draw more. I hope you enjoy it.

Update: Downloads of the eBook have proved very popular, so to save on my bandwidth I’ve decided to use e-junkie to distribute the book. It is still free, just click on the “Add to Cart” button below to download it (don’t worry, you won’t be asked for any credit card, PayPal details, etc).

Another update: Thank you so much to everyone who has downloaded and helped spread the word about Start to Draw Your Life. I have just passed 3000 downloads which is phenomenal (my aim was to reach 1000).

Interest in the eBook has also sparked a bit of a renaissance in demand for the limited edition paper version I made last year. There are still a handful left. If you’d like one, you can order one here (I’ll be popping an extra little treat in with the orders).

Happy reading (and drawing!)
